Project settings
Under Projeto › Configurações do projeto… (Project › Project settings) are the options that apply to the whole game:
| Option | What it is |
|---|---|
| Nome (name) | The name of the game. It shows in the title of the game window and in the hub. |
| Resolução do jogo (pixels) (game resolution) | The size of the game screen. Click 320×180, 480×270, 640×360 or 1280×720, or type the width and height next to them. The game window scales this resolution up without blurring the pixel art. |
| Ampliar para a tela (scale to the screen) | How the game image fills the window or the full screen. Inteira (integer): only 1×, 2×, 3×…, with perfect pixels; what is left over becomes a border. Manter proporção (keep aspect ratio): the biggest size that fits without distortion. Esticar (stretch): fills everything, even if it distorts. |
| Abrir em tela cheia (open in full screen) | The game opens already filling the monitor. During the game, Alt+Enter or F11 switch between the window and full screen. |
| Room inicial (start room) | The room that opens when the game starts. In Recursos (Resources), it shows up as (inicial). |
Click Salvar (save) to apply or Cancelar (cancel) to discard. Both are always in view, at the bottom of the window.
Input actions
Section titled “Input actions”An action is a name (for example atirar, shoot) tied to keys and gamepad buttons. In the code you use the name, not the key. See Keyboard and gamepad with actions.
Each row of the Ações de entrada (input actions) table is one action:
- on the left, the name (click to change it);
- in the middle, its keys and buttons. Click one of them to remove it;
- the + adds one: Apertar a tecla… (press the key) waits for you to press the key (Esc cancels), and Tecla (key) and Botão do controle (gamepad button) open the full list;
- the × deletes the action.
+ Ação (add action) creates a new action.
Global objects
Section titled “Global objects”Objects that are created once, in the first room, and stay alive in all the others: a score display, a lives controller. Under Objetos globais (global objects), click + Objeto global to choose an object, and click its name to take it off the list. See Keep data between rooms.
Editor preferences
