Room
A room is a level or screen of the game. It opens in a tab of the Editor, as a grid, and you build the level by placing instances of objects in it.
Place and change instances
Section titled “Place and change instances”- Drag an object from the Recursos (Resources) panel into the room to create an instance.
- Click an instance to select it and drag to move it.
- Drag on an empty space to select several with a rectangle. Shift+click adds to or removes from the selection.
- With the grid on, the instances snap to it. Hold Alt while dragging to position freely.
Room shortcuts
Section titled “Room shortcuts”| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| Delete | Deletes the selected instances |
| Ctrl+D | Duplicates the selection |
| Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V | Copies and pastes (pastes where the mouse is) |
| Ctrl+A | Selects everything |
| Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y | Undoes and redoes |
| Mouse wheel | Zoom |
| Middle button or Space + drag | Moves the view |
On the toolbar are the grid button with its size (for example 16 px) and the zoom.
The instance Inspector
Section titled “The instance Inspector”With an instance selected, the Inspector shows:
- Transformação (transform): the Posição (position, X and Y), the Escala (scale, X and Y) and the Ângulo (angle). Only this instance changes; the others of the same object stay the same.
- Valores próprios (own values): the object’s variables. Check the small box on a row to give this instance a value of its own. Unchecked, the object’s value applies.
With several instances selected, the Inspector only says how many there are: select one to edit it.
The room Inspector
Section titled “The room Inspector”With no instance selected, the Inspector shows the room:
- Room: the Tamanho (size: width × height, in pixels). The background color is now a Fundo (background) layer. The room can be bigger than the screen; then the camera shows only a piece of it.
- Câmera: see Room camera.
